I live in an area of the country where there are many older people. Many of these wonderful people have old computers with the old software. But gradually they will start their computers and operating systems to the latest 64-bit Windows 7 upgrade - but they want to continue to use their good old software. Here is the problem!
Recently, I have a new Windows 7 machine to a customer. He was very happy and said: "OK,Now the installation of American Greetings CreataCard my wife and my 5 gold Hoyle Card Games. "He and his wife had been the same programs years ago and could not live without it!
Vmware
Well, as you can imagine, these two programs will not install. Both old are16-bit programs will not install on 64-bit Windows 7 OS. If my client had a computer with 32-bit Windows 7, would have been allowed, their programs are running in compatibility mode bought, but that does not work64-bit Windows 7
So the boy was very disappointed, but I was like "cool as a cucumber" because I, that there are several great, free programs virtual machine that will allow these older 16-bit programs running under Windows 7 64-bit will know.
These are the programs I recommend (especially # 2 and # 3):
1) DOSBox (DOSBox is a DOS emulator only runs 16-bit MS-DOS and 16-bit Windows applications).
2) VirtualBox (a"Virtual Machine" that will run an unmodified operating system with all its installed software in a special environment, which allows for your existing operating system).
3) VMware Player (a "virtual machine" that the older Windows applications that run on your existing operating system without the original operating system).
Enjoy your old program continues to enjoy its new operating system!
As on 16-bit software runs on Windows 7 64-bit computers
