If someone asks me that which hat should I prefer then my respond will be naturally White Hat Seo because Gray Hat can show results but is risky to apply and should not be used much in any site expecting behalf in the long run. There is an old saying, "slow and steady wins the race" and it exactly fits in the case of White Hat Seo.
